Feb 3 - Who and What Am I?

Today is Wear Red Day! AND Bubblegum Day!

Without using goole or any other electronic help – Who and What Am I?

I am an amphibian
I am someone’s pet
I was given to my owner by Great Uncle Algie
I was given to my owner as a reward for gaining admission to this prestigious school

*Trevor was Neville Longbottom's pet toad. He was given to Neville by his Great-Uncle Algie upon Neville's gaining admission to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. *
Leapin’ Lizards – February is also National Cherry Month!  Tomorrow is Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Day!
Answer to yesterday’s riddle was: A Hedgehog and It was Hedgehog Day.
The answer/instructions were included at the bottom of the email (To see the answer highlight from one asterisk to the other below and change the font color if necessary.)
*Today is Hedgehog Day!
Long before the advent of Groundhog Day on February 2nd, the Romans observed a similar event thousands of years ago on the exact same day. Rather than use the North American groundhog, the Romans used the hedgehog. The only difference between this ancient event and the present day version (aside from the hedgehog, of course) is the fact that the Romans would look to see if the hedgehog saw its shadow under a clear moon at night. Here in North America, where we have no indigenous species of hedgehog, we replaced the hedgehog with the native groundhog and to this day “Punxsutawney Phil” and “Wiarton Willie” battle it out to see who is the better weather forecaster.*

This "inivisible text" is a great way to send an otherwise two-part email!
